Breaking news: Truck in River

this is a headline that just flashed across my TV screen. All it takes is 5 words to define the reasons why I don’t watch local news.

Who gives a fuck if there’s a truck in a river. What fucking river? The Danube? What fucking truck? An 18 wheeler bearing 12 tons of smack? or a 3/4 ton pickup bearing lawn clippings?

Bottom line is that they put these stupid lines out all the time. Therefore I turn to NPR and partially sacrifice my obligation to the community. I should be able to pay attention to real problems in the community and fix them. But God knows that the evening news is not the place to find out about idiots that are messing stuff up.
