I don’t know what to say. I’m horrified by the slowness to move on Darfur, but the reality is that usually the US steps in during matters like this. We’re busy beating up on terrorists so we’re not willing to send enough troops to make a difference. So since we’re not eager to dive in noone else is willing to spearhead a mission to save those poor bastards.

The PM argues that it’s just that people are sitting around and debating what is. But I think it’s probably a bit more of and lack of interest in the US to solve the problem. But he may be somewhat right as the rule on stopping was enacted after the last that occured in Africa under Clinton’s reign. You know the one with the Tutsi’s. Cute name, but some really hideous shit. I mean, everyone thinks that what the Germans did was disgusting, but they did it in such a German manner. Line everyone up, sort them out, get anything usable, turn them into ashes. But in Africa a generally consists of hacking people up with machetes. That’s some fucked up shit.

I don’t however agree with the President that a L-20 would just be some forum for making speeches.
